The Berkeley Lab's Environment, Health, & Safety Division is hiring a Radiation Control Technician. Reporting to a Radiological Control Technician Supervisor, this position is responsible for supporting radiation protection in assigned areas at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Duties include conducting radiological surveys, verifying worker compliance with radiological standards and ALARA practices, supporting radioactive material shipping and inventory, assisting with radiological characterization and sampling, and participating in air monitoring and waste management. The technician will also respond to radiological incidents, assist in investigations, and utilize specialized equipment for surveys and sample analysis. Salary: The Radiation Control Technician position is expected to pay $32.81 - $39.52 per hour, which fits within the full salary range of $29.45 - $42.86 per hour for the 747.1 - Radiation Control Tech I position. Salary for this position will commensurate with the final candidate's qualification and experience, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, certifications, plus also aligned with the internal peer group.
