Join our team to play a pivotal role in developing, delivering, and managing comprehensive training solutions. This position focuses on enhancing the skills of 911 call-takers across Maine, supporting critical public safety operations. Your expertise in instructional design, live training, and knowledge management will help shape the future of NG911 call-answering and mapping solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and /or redesign online learning modules and live web-based training sessions, instructor-led training guides and supporting materials.
  • Conduct company training programs.
  • Administer corporate learning management system and corporate knowledge management system.
  • Create realistic objective for learning.
  • Researches workforce educational need and available materials for classes and/or training manuals.
  • Maintains current knowledge of merging instruction technologies.
  • Develop and deliver in person training to State of Maine 911 call-takers for the NG911 call answering & mapping solution provided by Consolidated.
  • Stay current on NG911 systems, software upgrades and training
  • Work closely with the State of Maine Training Manager to identify end user training needs
  • Assist PSAP personal with end user training issues either on site or remotely
  • Manage the CJIS credentials database for compliance tracking of all Consolidated managers, technicians and vendors.
  • ESCB prior approval of any/all proposed training curricula is required
  • Develop and deliver student certification exam at the conclusion of each class
  • Research vendor content and software release notes and further develop into comprehensive training materials
  • Subject matter expert to provide onsite support at various Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) across the state as requested by the ESCB (i.e., refresher training)
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and 4 to 5 years' applicable experience.
  • Must be self-motivated and goal oriented
  • Have strong communication skills both orally and written
  • Must be available with minimal advanced notice to train PSAP personnel at the Augusta Maine Training Center
