We're seeking a future team member for the role of VP, Control Team to join our Treasury Services team. This role is located in New York, NY- HYBRID IN OFFICE or Pittsburgh, PA In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Leads the most complex product projects/analyses and may assign work to other team members.
- Provides input into the design and development of controls and protocols for the product function.
- Coordinate the control testing and reporting including Error / Near Miss analyses.
- Ensures that location specific regulatory standards are incorporated into control measures.
- Operating with a high degree of independence, implements product programs that improve internal controls to keep up with regulations and corporate standards.
- Works directly with assigned business group within Product Platform to understand the controls currently in place and enhancements needed to minimize risk.
- May design and deliver product control training programs to ensure that proper control procedures are understood and followed.
- Work with business partners to detect deficiencies in data systems and creates processes to improve defenses
- Anticipates and investigates trends areas that may become future risks to the business and creates controls to mitigate them before they appear.
- Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
- Supports multiple, complex projects and owns project timelines.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
- Advanced degree preferred
- 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.
- Experience in working across multiple, diverse lines of business and functional areas preferred
- Experience in product solutions including card, or government client landscape
- A dynamic problem solver - consistently utilizes a solution driven mindset
- Ambitious and driven to deliver business strategy transformation
- Detail oriented - understands the nuances that can impact overall outcomes
- A strong influencer and thoughtful communicator who can express complex ideas in simple, practical terms tailored to given audiences

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $175,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
