Space and Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Planner

The Opportunity:

Do you want to use your communication, creativity, problem-solving, and storytelling skills to improve organizational mission performance across space and electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO)? You will organize diverse groups to build shared understanding of complex challenges, facilitate collective problem solving, analyze and implement new solutions, and develop best practices. You will apply advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise such as the Joint Space Intelligence Enterprise, Space Operations, Space Intelligence, and Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO).

You'll work as functional expert, providinganalysis and developing and evaluating detailed plans, goals of major military programs related to warfighting domains, electromagnetic warfare and attack, and EMS dependent systems and communications, including media broadcast and wireless systems, radar, signals intelligence and processing, sensors, lasers, electromagnetics, and weapons systems such as associated flight and mission operations, mobilization, contingency response, crisis action, special operations, force employment, training, and exercises.

As a Space and EMSO Planner on our team, you'll apply your knowledge of Military Decision and Planning Processes (MDMP), Joint Planning Process (JPP), the Joint Training System, Joint Exercise Program (JEP), and Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) Exercise Planning Cycle. You will develop innovative solutions to complex problems. You'll work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members. You'll listen to client challenges and identify threats, gaps, or risks that need to be explored and provide a safe space for recommendations that will make lasting, real-world impact.

On our team, you will work with Information Operations, Information Warfare subject matter experts (SMEs), and intelligence SMEs to support the planning, development, execution, and analysis of real world and joint exercises and wargames. As a Joint Space Intelligence Enterprise, Space Operations, and IJSTO expert, you will provide valuable information regarding organization, capabilities, and capacity, including providing inputs to planning for real world, Tier 1 exercises, demonstrations, wargames, Tabletop Exercises (TTXs), Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) drills, and seminars. You'll collaborate with intelligence and SMEs throughout the process to develop training and exercise objectives linked to the Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL), discuss key events, develop intelligence scripting, develop Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) injects, and collect data for lessons learned. You'll rely on your leadership skills as you share your expertise through leadership and mentoring. As a leader, you'll identify new opportunities to build solutions to your customer's needs.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience working with military intelligence or the Intelligence Community
  • Experience supporting EMSO operations
  • Knowledge of the Joint Space Intelligence Enterprise
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with planning
  • Knowledge of the Joint Training System, Joint Exercise Program, and JELC TTX, wargames, or mini exercises
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
