Job description

Summary: Oversees, review and maintain document records for Otto Environmental and its associate plants in compliance with standards. Support cross functional departments in the creation of documents. Manage the customer complaints from its entire cycle.

Quality Document Control:



  • Act as administrative leader for electronic document management system.


  • Ensure files are accurate and easily retrievable.


  • Ensure quality, detail and compliance in creation and management of documents.


  • Assist document owners in creating documents and workflows in compliance with standards.


  • Maintain and oversees Quality controlled records and storage.


  • Support Quality Systems Engineer completing pre-audit requests for documentation.


  • Route documents for review and approval in the Document Management System.


  • Approves Document Change Control along with Systems Engineer and assigns effective dates to documents.


Quality Data and Customer Complaint



  • Receive Quality and Warranty Complaints.


  • Ensure that all information related to customer complaint cases is received and available for case processing.


  • Request samples for analysis when needed.


  • Ensure that quality costs are recorded in each case.


  • Manage all cases until its resolution.


  • Process serial numbers for warranty validation process.


  • Ensure all documentation related to customer complaints is recorded and maintained (Pictures, Lab Results, RCA, Corrective Actions etc.)


  • Report Monthly Quality Results (Customer Quality Complaints, Warranty Cases, Costs of Non-Quality, etc.)


  • Provides additional support and assistance on tasks and projects as directed by management.


QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read, organize and manage large amounts of data and documents.


  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, charts and graphs, and legal documents.


  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.


  • Ability to effectively present information to top and middle management, and customers.


  • Must be able to write clear, concise procedures and work instructions.


  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


  • Ability to work in a team environment, lead teams and participate on continuous improvement teams.


  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.


  • Technical writing and flow-charting experience.


  • Customer Service background preferred.


  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S preferred.


  • Strong organizational skills, time management, multitask and action oriented.


  • Other Attributes should include Self-directed requiring minimal supervision; urgency, attention to detail, leadership skills, ability to influence others


  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 and TS16949 Quality System requirements.


  • Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Visio)


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor of Science Business Administration, 5 years of experience in quality, document control and/or customer service within a manufacturing environment or combination of education and experience.



  • Supervisory experience preferred.


* Experience working in ISO/TS environment highly desired

WORKING CONDITIONS:

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Office, Warehouse, and Plant

While performing the duties of this job in the Plant, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the Plant work environment is usually moderate, but hearing protection may be required in designated areas. Office areas are climate controlled.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Quality Engineer to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. Move up to 50 pounds.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
