As the Assistant Controller, you'll play a key role in supporting the Corporate Controller and working alongside a talented team to manage financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide strategic insights that drive our business forward.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, however, other duties may be assigned.



  • Financial Reporting Excellence: Take part in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Month-End and Year-End Close: Play an essential role in the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring financial statements are prepared on time and with precision.
  • General Ledger Mastery: Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain accuracy and consistency across financial records.
  • Internal Controls: Help design, implement, and monitor internal controls that protect the organization and support compliance with financial regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Partner with senior leaders to develop and refine budgets and forecasts, providing key insights into the company's financial health.
  • Audit Collaboration: Work with external and internal auditors to ensure smooth, efficient audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to identifying and implementing improvements in financial processes, helping to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with departments across the organization, providing financial insights and supporting business decisions.
  • Special Projects: Assist in a variety of special financial projects that contribute to the company's growth and success.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED



  • Accounting degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; with 5 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPA strongly preferred, or actively testing.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Works within approved budget; Develops and implements cost saving measures.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
