Job Description
Under the direction of the Deposit Operations Team Leader, performs all required functions in accordance with regulatory compliance guidelines, with special focus on verification of proper account documentation and product knowledge training of deposit accounts and products Assisting with rate changes, core changes and ensure all day to day operational functions are performed in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor/responsible for the day to day support of deposit operational functions including; research, analyze and process daily ACH and check exception items, RTP exception items, balancing ACH origination files, in accordance with policies, procedures and the NACHA operating rules in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support IRA Specialist - all IRA accounts have proper documentations, fully compliant and in adherence with established Bank guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Processes Returned Deposited items from Federal Reserve.
- Processing check adjustments received daily.
- Responsible for research and responding of legal correspondence including subpoenas, levies, garnishments, etc.
- Responsible for the annual reporting and reconcilement of Abandoned Property
- Monitor/generate and review overdrawn account reports, submit charge off accounts on ChexSystems and maintain documentation in IDentifi.
- Assist as needed with the processing of wire transfers and callbacks - incoming and outgoing wires.
- Quality control for new accounts and maintenance of existing accounts to ensure adherence to regulations, policies and procedures.
- Performs monthly monitoring and verification of selected reports
- Keep abreast of industry scams, fraud trends, and evolving security risks to prevent fraud losses to the bank and customer.
- Support team; trains and develops, evaluates the performance, and coach several team members.
- Communicates effectively, hold meetings, creates agendas and monitor team members to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Ensure the team is updating procedures and workflows.Assist with policies, FDICIA guidelines and risk assessments in accordance with fed and state regulations and communicating changes to appropriate personnel
- Compile research and tracking of customer's requests and issues.
- Perform and respond to necessary inquiries on deposit customers
- Coordinate with Retail staff in regards to management of daily maintenance, customer correspondence and customer research and to resolve outstanding issues for department work (tracking quality control issues).
- Assist or responsible in Deposit Operations projects, system upgrades and system change notification related to Deposit Operations. Perform duties including participating or facilitate meetings, update project plans, complete system testing, document workflows and performing other functions to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Provide subject matter expert level support and guidance and training to business partners and Operations Specialist personnel on Deposit Operations processes.
- Cross train to provide backup to Operations Specialist personnel as necessary to expedite workflow
- Demonstrate a consistently high level of service to ensure a positive customer experience and adherence to the bank's customer service standards.
- Deliver highly responsive internal and external problem resolution.
- Perform additional duties as requested or assigned
- Work with vendors and outside service providers to ensure operational performance standards are maintained
- Oversee/Assist and participate on annual and periodic audits as required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree highly preferred or equivalent experience
- Three to five years' banking experience highly preferred
- Strong background in bank operating policies and procedures, banking regulations (state and federal) related to deposit operations field highly preferred
