Job Description: Title: Shipping Clerk Operating Company: Environmental Solutions Group - Heil Environmental Location: Fort Payne, AL Department: Operations Shift: 2nd shift Position Summary: This is a qualification position. Fulfill orders with forklift or stepladder while processing large amounts of transactions that require a high level of focus to maintain high levels of inventory, location and count accuracy using DSI. Transfer parts from primary location to shipping dock for packaging. Package orders appropriately. Complete bills of lading or UPS and FedEx shipping paperwork. Load shipments into trailers or containers using forklift. Assist in preparing and planning for inventories. Participate in all physical inventories. Department Operations Company/Location Fort Payne Material handling, drive forklift, warehouse order processing, and operate the Turret truck and being inside the Parts Picker which reaches up to 25 feet high. Roles and Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintain and control parts inventory. 2. Operate the Turret truck and being inside the Parts Picker which reaches up to 25 feet high. Pass this certification course. 3. Drive a forklift and pass certification course. 4. Computer skills necessary. 5. Must be able to lift minimum of 40 pounds repetitively. 6. Accurately complete truck bills of lading. 7. Efficiently operate UPS and FedEx shipping manifest. 8. Prepare export paperwork. 9. Adhere to packaging practices and instructions. 10. Accurately complete in-house kitting per bill of material. 11. Basic math skills. 12. Perform housekeeping duties as necessary to keep work area safe, clean and in good order. 13. Must be a self-starter with a "can do" attitude looking to be a team player. 14. Safe work habits are a must. PERSONAL TOOL REQUIREMENTS: Safety shoes and safety glasses. Requirements: Education: Requires a High School diploma or GED. Knowledge: Requires ability to understand general arithmetic; ability to write in an understandable manner; understand verbal or written instructions; ability to read and understand instructions, lists and billing materials; use PC based applications, including Mainstar, Outlook, and Microsoft Office, knowledge normally acquired through high school or equivalent experience. Mental: Requires normal attention with periods of high concentration intermittently to operate machinery approximately 50% of time. Physical: Requires walking/standing approximately 70%, lifting up to 40 pounds approximately 15% of time; involves repetitive overhead work approximately 10% of time; involves repetitive stooping, forward bending and crouching approximately 5% of time. Manual Dexterity: Requires use of hands, arms and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate all manufacturing equipment, meters, chains hoists, automatic drills and general hand tools and to record written information. Audible Demands: Requires ability to follow verbal instructions and to hear for safety purposes. Visual: Requires the ability to visually observe essential functions for satisfactory job performance and safety; color and depth perception required. Environmental: Exposure to plant environments with the presence of dust, fumes, noise, and fluctuating temperatures due to lack of climate control.
