Position Summary |
This is an Administrative Associate position in the Department of Human Development and Family Science in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences. The incumbent will assist department faculty and staff to support academic programs, outreach and public service, and cross-cutting department efforts. Responsibilities include: collecting and organizing data for reporting and planning, planning meetings and events, preparing electronic and print materials, and communicating clearly and professionally with wide range of stakeholders. This position will report directly to the Department Head of Human Development & Family Science and will work closely with the
HDFS Office Manager who will oversee day-to-day activities. |

* Strong organizational skills and ability to be detail oriented.

Academic program support:
* Assist Marriage & Family Therapy (
MFT) doctoral program,
MFT certificate program, and Child Life directors and coordinators. Gather and organize records for accreditation / certification documentation, and assisting with preparation of application materials. Also, assist directors in day-to-day activities as assigned.
* Assist
MFT and Child Life program directors in organizing records (e.g., MOUs) with internship and similar placements. Facilitate communication among internship sites and program directors.
* Other support of
MFT and Child Life programs as assigned by Department Head and Office Manager. |

Outreach and public service support:
* Work with other administrative associates in Family and Consumer Sciences as part of a team to:
* Provide project management and special project support and coordination for curriculum development, workshops, events, camps, trainings and conferences
* Provide support to the development of publications, curriculum, and educational materials.
*Assist with collecting outcome and impact data for reports.
* Prepare timely, thorough and accurate reports and maintain records.
* Assist with maintaining, updating, entering publications in the publications database.
* Prepare office supply orders and other purchase requests, mailing/shipping forms, work orders and print requests from other campus agencies.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. |

* Assist Undergraduate Coordinator and
HDFS Office Manager with course scheduling, assessing student learning outcomes, and preparing annual reports.
* Assist in undergraduate recruitment by developing recruitment materials, working with Student Success and Advising Center to promote the major at events.
* Assist in recruiting and tracking student progress in Double Dawgs
* Assist in developing and maintaining database for tracking student information for reporting, and administer student surveys (e.g., through Qualtrics).
* Assist in planning undergraduate
HDFS Association meetings.
* Provide office support (e.g., photocopies) for high credit-hour courses as assigned by Department Head and Office Manager |
