Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven sales executive to lead efforts in acquiring new contracts and driving penetration within Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs) and Single-Family Home (SFH) communities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building relationships with property managers, developers, and homeowners' associations (HOAs) to secure agreements, while simultaneously working to increase product and service adoption within contracted properties and communities.

The Market Growth Specialist will educate developers about Brightspeed products and services and negotiate an agreement for Brightspeed to bring fiber services to new or existing properties. This person must have strong business development, conflict, and funnel management skills. This role will also develop and maintain a relationship with the property to gain access to the residential customer base. This position is responsible for successfully managing terms and conditions of Brightspeed marketing agreements as well as achieving sales goals within the property by creating marketing strategies to gain customers.

The Market Growth Specialist needs to be an aggressive hunter, the main goal of this position is to win new business both at a property level (B2B) and the customer level (B2C). This is a mobile position that requires proven flexibility to drive results and grow market share in changing areas of concentration to acquire and penetrate contracts in assigned community clusters. The role requires interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills and the ability to assess property performance. The successful candidate will achieve desired sales and penetration goals using virtual and cross-functional support from internal and external resources.

New Contract Acquisition: Identify and pursue new opportunities for securing contracts with MDU properties, residential communities, and SFH developments.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with property managers, real estate developers, HOAs, and community boards.
  • Negotiate agreements for exclusive or preferred service provision in targeted communities.

Account Management: Manage and grow relationships within already contracted MDUs and SFH communities.

  • Ensure a deep understanding of each community's unique needs and preferences to tailor marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Maximize sales penetration by driving adoption of services within contracted properties.

Sales Strategy: Create and implement sales plans to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.

  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and competitive threats.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and technical teams to develop strategies that improve market penetration and customer satisfaction.

In-Field Sales: Conduct regular field visits to potential and existing MDU and SFH communities.

  • Organize and participate in community events, presentations, and sales pitches tailored to the specific needs of the prospective customers.

Customer Onboarding & Support: Work closely with customer service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and satisfaction post-sale.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for any issues or inquiries from community managers or residents during and after service implementation.

Sales Reporting & CRM Management: Track and report all sales activities, contacts, and progress using a CRM system.

Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams (marketing, operations, finance, technical teams) to align sales initiatives with broader company goals and customer needs.

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the telecommunications, real estate, or utilities sector.
  • Proven record of acquiring new business and driving sales growth.
  • Experience working with property managers, HOAs, or developers in MDU and/or SFH communities is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.
  • Flexibility to travel within the assigned territory and regularly attend in-person meetings with clients and prospects.

A plus if you have:

  • Knowledge of cable, TV, Internet, and/or Voice products and services
  • Residential Property management or real estate development

Physical Demands:

  • To be successful, this job requires travel with extensive windshield time to accomplish needed territorial coverage.
