The Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) seek an Assistant or Associate Professor, Appointment Stream, to serve as Associate Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. The position offers superb opportunities for research, teaching and mentoring of students, residents and fellows; as well as direct patient care. Candidates must hold an unrestricted MD/DO Pennsylvania medical license and be board eligible/board certified in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. Training and experience in infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship is required and a Master's Degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field is preferred. General rank requirements: An assistant professor should have demonstrated teaching ability, experience in advanced study and research, or professional experience of a kind that would enable them to make an academic contribution. An associate professor will have a strong experience with an impactful scholarship, a local, regional, and developing national/international reputation, effectiveness as a teacher, and service.
