Bakersfield Eye Care Optometric Center is looking to add a full-time Optometrist to its team. The center offers a wide range of services, including comprehensive eye exams, children's eye care, contact lens exams, management of eye diseases, treatment of eye conditions, eye emergencies, LASIK and refractive surgery co-management, myopia management clinics, and scleral contact lenses. The practice is staffed by a team of experienced professionals dedicated to ensuring that each patient has a top-notch experience. What you'll do: As a part of the Bakersfield Eye Care Optometric team, you'll join a group of talented professionals and practice in a modern, dynamic, state-of-the-art clinic, providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages, visual and medical conditions. You'll perform patient examinations, recommend vision-enhancing solutions, and promote good eye health through patient education. On average, 22 patients are cared for daily. Typically has the following skills or abilities: Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure 1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties Working Conditions The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. The above information on this description had been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
