Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Space-based Sensing Mission Engineering Lead, this lead is the SME resource in front of the AFC mission integration in support of SDA Program Integration activities.

    Provides expert AFC knowledge to support program integration efforts.
  • Provides technical expertise on the performance and functionality of the SDA AFC missions
  • Leads all integration and testing of AFC systems to ensure they meet mission requirements.
  • Collaborates with other engineering teams to ensure the integration of AFC systems with space-based and ground-based infrastructure.
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation, including architecture, system requirements, design specifications, test plans, and integration procedures.
  • Performs technical reviews of AFC system designs to ensure compliance with operational and mission standards, identifies and closes gaps as necessary
  • Leads troubleshooting and issue resolution efforts during integration and testing.

**This position is contingent on contract award.**



Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical field
  • 10 years of total professional experience and 5 years of experience in space-based missile warning, tracking, and defense systems and/or space- based sensing of time-critical targets focused on development, integration, and testing
  • Demonstrated experience with the integration and testing of AFC or similar space-based sensing systems in operational environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with the integration and testing of MISSION WARNING, TRACKING AND DEFENSE or similar space-based sensing systems in operational environments.
  • Ability to analyze issues and develop solutions to operational issues.

PREFERRED:

  • 10 years of experience in space-based missile warning, tracking, and defense systems and/or space-based sensing of time-critical targets focused on development, integration, and testing

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Us Citizen ship is required to obtain a clearance.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
