The Importance of the Role As a Summer Intern in our Gene Therapy Center of Excellence team, you will play a crucial role in advancing our understanding and development of gene therapies for muscular dystrophies. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of bringing transformative therapies to patients in need.The Laboratory Research Intern provides laboratory support for day-to-day genetic therapies research activities. You will assist in implementing and developing laboratory techniques necessary for moving preclinical research forward. This role requires a willingness to work with laboratory animals (rodents), animal tissues, mammalian cell/tissue culturing, and cutting-edge molecular biology tools within a laboratory environment. You will assist with ongoing preclinical research studies by materials preparation, ensuring proper documentation, and collecting and processing biological samples. The targeted salary range for this position is $21 - $25 per hour depending upon years of education completed and nature of role.
