Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The incumbent will operate with a high degree of autonomy, independently managing priorities and workload to ensure timely follow-up and meet deadlines. Utilizing strong interpersonal skills, they will collaborate with patients, families, peers, and leadership to maintain professional relationships and facilitate problem resolution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and engage others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy, political acumen.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., The Joint Commission, CMS) and their impact on patient complaints and grievances.
  • Extensive (5+ years) experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, analyze data, and implement evidence-based interventions
  • Demonstrates a leadership style that builds and maintains a climate of trust and inspires commitment from others.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure that patient information is guarded and respected.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and an ability and willingness to learn new applications and software, procedures, and processes.
  • Consistently interacts with all members of the organization in ways that enhance understanding, respect, cooperation and problem solving
  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, public health, nursing or other relevant field
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Ability to provide care appropriate to the demographic served.
  • Ability to navigate a facility with multiple providers and services.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful or difficult situations
  • Ability to display active listening and verbalize empathy while developing relationships with patients, guests, and coworkers.
  • Ability to communicate with patients in a confidential, professional manner using tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to be highly motivated and pay attention to detail with a passion to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to assimilate data from various sources.
  • Ability to assess data regarding the patient's status and provide care, as detailed in the department's policies and procedures manual.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
