JOB TITLE: ANALYST / ASSISTANT TO THE CHIEF ENGINEER

DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING

REPORTS TO: CHIEF ENGINEER

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

STATUS: FULL-TIME

JOB SUMMARY:

Analysis/Assistant to the Chief Engineer performs analytical, research, and administrative duties to support the operations of the Engineering department. Duties include working on various projects to track schedule, ordering, drawing releases, requirements and various coordination of projects within Platform Aerospace.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with project documentation, such as plans and reports, and scheduling.
  • Supports engineering team in various activities related to documentation, schedules, production flow and purchasing.
  • Supports the engineering team in checking and maintaining BOM's, research of parts and delivery of prototype assemblies.
  • Supports the Chief Engineer on daily tasks to complete internal and external projects
  • Research and analyze administrative, financial and/or operations data.
  • Compile and prepare results and reports.
  • Provides administrative support to managers and staff.
  • Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma and 0-2 years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of working within a team and independently completing tasks for both internal and external projects.
  • Knowledgeable of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Monday).
  • Analytical thinking skills. Information/research skills. Clerical skills. Computer skills. Oral and written communication skills. Research skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pursuing an Associate or bachelor's level degree in business or engineering related discipline.
  • Entry level experience and passion in learning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to be self-sufficient.
  • Knowledge of ISO-9001 and AS9100, working knowledge of processes and work instructions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to traverse manufacturing facility.
