Are you looking to gain valuable experience in the world of commercial lending and regulatory compliance? As a Commercial Flood Insurance Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our team by helping ensure that our commercial loans meet flood insurance requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the ins and outs of flood insurance regulations, collaborate with various departments, and make a meaningful impact on the bank's compliance efforts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, with the potential for additional tasks:

• Stay up to date on the latest consumer protection compliance regulations, particularly related to flood insurance.
• Assist in verifying flood insurance adequacy for loans secured by properties in Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs) before closing.
• Help create, update, and maintain tracking documentation for flood insurance on commercial loans secured by personal property.
• Work closely with various bank teams to ensure that flood insurance is properly obtained and maintained for the duration of the loan.
• Assist in preparing reports to monitor flood insurance compliance and share updates with management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to flood insurance coverage, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Interest or experience in regulatory compliance, financial services, or commercial lending.
• Strong familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to learn and apply complex laws and regulations related to flood insurance.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Rising Junior or Senior preferred.
