This utilitarian position will provide significant support to the Loan Records and Lien Release team. This role will provide assistance and backup to department work related to collateral, paid loans processes, file room management, imaging, and assisting with department related projects. The role is in office 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities



  • Perform a variety of clerical duties pertaining to loan and collateral files.
  • File and maintain all original notes in the fireproof cabinets.
  • File all incoming physical loan documents in appropriate commercial, mortgage, or consumer legal files, adhering to filing system.
  • Control the flow of physical loan files in and out of the Collateral department. Required to operate Infolinx, the loan file inventory tracking system.
  • Locate, and provide copies of loan file documents to fulfill business unit requests.
  • Create skinny, retained document, files with loan labels.
  • Pull all notes and/or documentation pertaining to daily paid loans.
  • Handle various document requests from the Servicing SharePoint site.
  • Prepare files for offsite retention, adhering to bank retention policies.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures specifically related to confidentiality and safeguarding data and information.
  • Focus on process improvement/efficiency ideas.
  • Document and maintain procedures for applicable functions when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as required. Projects may involve working overtime.
  • Supports and performs all functions related to Loan Records and Lien Release in a backup capacity. This includes but is not limited to subpoena research, subordination document preparation, document imaging, partial release processing, and updating of core system collateral.
  • Performs activities associated with the processing of collateral for paid loans-with a focus on the accuracy of preparation of Residential, Business Banking, and Commercial loan discharges.


Qualifications



  • High School diploma. In lieu of a degree, prior work experience pertaining to job description.

    General knowledge pertaining to Consumer, Mortgage, Home Equity, and Commercial loan documentation a plus.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Competent computer skills and knowledge of office equipment such as photocopier, scanner.
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-tasking environment while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with a focus on providing excellent internal and external customer service.
