What IT Strategy & Governance contributes to Cardinal Health Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
IT Strategy & Governance maintains multi-year strategic IT investment plans for assigned areas of the enterprise and develops business cases and internal buy-in from business leaders by aligning IT investment plans with business needs. Responsibilities
- Collaborates with business and IT leaders to develop project business cases and charters
- Collaborates with Finance leaders to establish and understand fiscal year funding levels
- Collaborates with business, IT, strategic and Finance leaders to develop and maintain a prioritized, calendarized portfolio of projects to maximize returns on strategic investments
- Manages project portfolios to achieve stated returns on strategic investments
- Provides solutions which may set precedent, independently navigating gray areas of project portfolio management processes to achieve stated objectives
- Collaborate with and lead peers in process standardization initiatives
Qualifications
- 8-12 years of experience, preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Experience working closely with senior executive leaders in the business, Finance and IT preferred
- Experience managing large project portfolios preferred
- Financial acumen, including managing financial reporting for large project portfolios preferred
- Experience leading matrixed work groups preferred
