A unit within the portfolio of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, Middle Eastern Student Center (MESC) is an essential department that provides academic support services, mentoring/leadership development, co-and extra-curricular programming, K-14 outreach and non-academic counseling among other things, for all UC Riverside students with an emphasis on SWANA scholars. In collaboration with the Director, the program coordinator develops, plans, implements, and evaluates programs, services, initiatives, and activities for the Middle Eastern Student Center (MESC). The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, marketing, and evaluating cultural and education programs related to SWANA students; coordinating outreach efforts targeted to K-12 and community college students; coordinating cross-cultural programs with other campus departments; providing support and assistance to SWANA student organizations; assist in collaborating across the UC-system to plan an annual SWANA Conference; and act as an advocate for student concerns. The incumbent independently analyzes campus wide needs to develop a programmatic response, serving as a subject matter expert pertaining to SWANA undergraduate and graduate student success. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the student intern selection process, supervision, training, and day-to-day workflow management for the interns, mentor volunteers, and delegates.

The full salary range for the MESC Program Coordinator position is $56,000 - $96,400 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $66,100 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
