UVA Library is seeking an Electronic Resources Librarian in the Resource Acquisition & Description Department. This position is responsible for supporting and managing various aspects of the electronic resource lifecycle. They will support management and access to purchased and subscribed electronic resources, utilize systems required for e-resource access and maintenance, including SirsiDynix Symphony, Ex Libris 360 Management Services, Springshare's A-Z list, and OCLC Collection Manager, contribute to the management of the Electronic Resource Management System,participate in resolving electronic resource access issues, monitor and analyze usage of electronic resources, stay informed about emerging trends in search and discovery, and provide outstanding customer service to Library users and staff. The goal of the Resource Acquisition & Description Unit is to acquire materials for the library's collection across all formats,disciplines, languages, and places of origin, manage access to licensed digital resources by maintaining local and vendor-supplied systems, and partner with Metadata and Discovery Services to accommodate copy cataloging workflows. This position is located in Charlottesville, VA with the opportunity of a hybrid work schedule (3 days on Grounds, 2 days remote) after the required in-person training.
