The Onsite Health Coach Manager will provide oversight and direct health coaching to a team of clinical professionals that require education/certification/licensure outside the scope of a registered nurse. Direct oversite includes dietician, nutritionist, health education, kinesiology, and exercise physiology. Health coach, health educators and health advocate roles that do not require a RN licensure would be included in this function. The manager role will participate in the guidance of team members, as well as interventions to the membership.

Direct health coaching is responsible for establishing personal wellness plans focusing on a members living healthier lifestyles. This role will provide telephonic, online or in person support to members while assisting them to establish wellness goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Management



  • Leading and managing the team to ensure effective program implementation and evaluation
  • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of assigned population health programs and initiatives and making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes
  • Provide written and verbal documentation/ presentations for Process Improvement Plans, Quality Improvement Plans, and population health stream work to direct Leadership
  • Able to independently define direction of work for self and others with a high degree of independence
  • Self-directed, independent and track record of problem solving, initiation and leadership for highly complex, visible, and multifaceted topics
  • Ability to communicate with and report out to executive level management to effectively drive the decisions making process
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead non-direct reports


Direct Health Coaching



  • Be responsible for coaching outreaches
  • Work and oversight on non-standard requests
  • Providing direction and guidance to members supporting education and cost control measures
  • Understand business and operational program level details to be able to provide explanations and information to others on the most complex, critical issues
  • Ability to problem solve and solution with members on issues affecting their health on an individual basis

Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of health coaching experience
  • Managerial/supervisory experience with direct reports
  • Telecommute experience
  • Experience functioning independently and responsibly with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven solid customer service orientation
  • Ability to be a solid team player and proven team building skills
  • Ability and flexibility to assume responsibilities and tasks in a constantly changing work environment
