UCI Health is experiencing unprecedented growth. In addition to the main hospital in Orange, our recently acquired hospitals in Fountain Valley, Lakewood, Los Alamitos, and Placentia, our sixth new hospital will open in 2025. Information for New Graduate Nurses

The majority of UCI Health's hospital and ambulatory operations require experienced Nurses. This is defined as Nurses with at least 6 months of experience. New Grad Nurses are encouraged to check the website for jobs that list new grad experience as a requirement. This hiring event is designated for experienced Nurses.

Required Qualifications:

*Provided below are the standard requirements for Nurse positions. Some positions may have additional requirements based on the department or specialization.

• Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated nursing experience in an acute care setting
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Current California RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification (required for a majority of positions)
• All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues, physicians and others as part of a care team
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of JCAHO requirements
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
• Bilingual/Multilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
