Acara Solutions is hiring a Repair Technician to work for a our client, a leading manufacturer of easy-to-fly drones and aerial photography systems in Cerritos, CA.
Job summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. As an Electronic Repair Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and fixing RC aircraft and camera equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and extending their operational lifespan.
Essential Functions
All essential duties are able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation to all individuals with or without disability.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic devices, equipment, and systems to identify issues, malfunctions, and defects.
  • Utilize testing equipment, schematics, and technical documentation to diagnose and isolate problems within electronic circuits and components.
  • Perform repairs and replacements on faulty components, such as integrated circuits, brushless motors, propellers, and other parts.
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality control checks after repairs to ensure the proper functioning and reliability of repaired devices.
  • Calibrate and adjust electronic equipment to meet manufacturer specifications and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to provide technical expertise and support for resolving electronic-related issues.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance procedures performed.
  • Log the proper transactions in the CRM system, verify all parts the customers requested are included in the box so they are ready for Quality Control stage
  • Support the teams with other drone models
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Here's what you'll get:

Pay Rate: $17.27 - $25.25/hr
Hours: 40 hours/week - Monday through Friday from 7:00 am - 4.15 pm. Frequent evening and weekend work maybe required as duties demand.

Length: Contract

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum two year's experience with electronic circuits, components, and systems.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two years of soldering experience.
  • Minimum two years experience with Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Electronics or related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using electronic testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Familiarity with soldering techniques and rework procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in repair work.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to adapt to new technologies and techniques in the field.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with software tools used in electronics diagnostics and repairs.
  • Be able to work in a fast pace environment

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
