DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve tort claims pertaining to automobile and other property damages. This includes determining tort exposure and establishing reserves, conducting interviews, obtaining detailed claim evidence, consulting with experts, evaluating liability and damages, and negotiating settlements. Additionally, work involves assisting constituents with the incident submittal process and triaging new incidents to determine liability. You will also prepare full, formal reports summarizing opinions, case details under applicable law, and issues of case claim disposition strategy or settlement evaluation based upon analysis of facts, evidence, damage, and injury. While this role will rely on your independent decision-making, effective communication, and problem-solving skills, you will have the opportunity grow and develop your skills by collaborating on more unique cases and seeking guidance and direction from your supervisor on cases of abnormal complexity. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree; or
- Two years of technical experience in evaluating or processing claims, or interviewing consumers to obtain or review financial, insurance or personal information or records to determine next actions, and an associate's degree; or
- Four years of technical experience in evaluating or processing claims or interviewing consumers to collect or review financial, insurance, or personal information or records to determine next actions; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
