As an Unemployment Compensation Tax Agent, you will have the opportunity to travel throughout an assigned territory within Pennsylvania to complete site visits. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a UC Tax Agent, you will make in-person and other types of contacts with employers and businesses to communicate all necessary requirements that they must fulfill under PA UC law. You will be responsible for examining their financial records and investigating issues to confirm compliance, identify errors, and address fraudulent activity. Each case is unique and offers an abundance of new learning opportunities. This position is home-headquartered, therefore you will spend a mix of your time traveling, working at home, as well as working on-site with employers and businesses throughout your assigned geographic territory. Work includes but is not limited to:
- Performing advanced auditing work involving a variety of documents and records
- Inspecting and analyzing accounting records for hidden or unreported wages
- Reconstructing payrolls when records are inadequate
- Communicating audit findings with employers
- Explaining assessment processes and appeal rights
- Testifying at hearings
- Conducting financial reviews
- Performing additional investigations and compliance initiatives as needed

- Full-time employment, home headquartered
- Work hours are generally 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- AWS (alternate work schedule) may be available
- Frequent travel throughout your assigned territory in Pennsylvania is required. Travel expenses will be paid.
- Salary: Starting salary is non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 18 college credits in finance and accounting, of which at least 6 college credits are in accounting; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 18 college credits in finance and accounting, of which at least 6 college credits are in accounting.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires possession of a current driver's license which is not under suspension.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within LI UCTS District 11 (Armstrong, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield, Huntingdon, Indiana, Jefferson, or Somerset). If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
