DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, it is essential to have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with both professional and non-professional staff. You will have the opportunity to assist in creating and implementing individual support plans that are tailored to the specific needs of the individuals in your assigned living areas. This will involve working closely with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure that the plans are effective and promote the individual's independence and well-being. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing any incidents that may occur with assigned individuals, ensuring that they are properly reported, reviewed, and analyzed to identify patterns and implement strategies to ensure the individuals health and safety. - Full-time employment (37.5 hours per week)
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will be required to work 1 weekend day per month, 1 second shift per month, and 3 hours on 3rd shift every quarter.
- Overtime and travel as operationally necessary.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of professional experience providing therapeutic care and services for individuals with a developmental disability, which included the development and implementation of individual residential support plans and services, and possession of an active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania; or
- One year of professional experience providing therapeutic care and services for individuals with a developmental disability, which included the development and implementation of individual residential support plans and services, and a bachelor's degree in human services, behavioral sciences, education, or nursing; or
- Two years of professional experience providing therapeutic care and services for individuals with a developmental disability, which included the development and implementation of individual residential support plans and services, and a bachelor's degree.
Special Requirements:
- You must meet the qualifications of a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations.
- Applicants who qualify based on authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania who currently possess an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
