TITLE: Quality Technician (Level 1) GRADE: Exempt DEPARTMENT: Quality POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Technician Level 1 is an entry-level position responsible for supporting quality assurance activities within the production environment. This role involves conducting visual inspections, monitoring and documenting quality metrics, and assisting in containment actions to ensure adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to develop their skills in quality assurance processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed visual inspections of products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Accurately track scrap, First Pass Yield (FPY), and concession submittal data.
- Analyze basic data trends and report findings to the quality team.
- Ensure proper documentation and disposal of scrap materials in accordance with regulatory policies.
- Log and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
- Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues during manufacturing.
- Maintain accurate Material Review Board (MRB) inventory records by updating part status and location regularly.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Support containment activities to address and control non-conforming products, ensuring compliance with containment plans.
- Draft and submit quality notifications and concessions under the guidance of senior quality personnel.
- Submit data for Key Product Characteristics (KPCs)

EXPERIENCE:
- 0-2 years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or related fields.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree or Technical certification in quality assurance, manufacturing, or related disciplines preferred.
COMPLIANCE:
- Adhere to the defense industry's initiatives on business ethics and conduct, particularly with respect to fraud, waste, and abuse.
- Meet the compliance requirements outlined in TECT Business Conduct Guidelines as applicable to this position.
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP, as well as company-specific regulations.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $50,000 - $70,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, and geographic location.
