What is the opportunity?

This individual will support the RBC USA's Resolution Planning and Submission with a focus on the liquidity forecast and modelling resolution assumptions in accordance with FRB requirements.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for managing the modelling and calculations related to U.S. Resolution with a focus on Liquidity Execution Need ("RLEN") of a GSIB/FBO.
  • Liaise with different functional groups and businesses in preparation of the resolution model forecast and the downstream users of the forecast.
  • Managing the build out of documentation, white papers and assumptions for the liquidity analysis of the plan.
  • Supporting implementation of the model to manage the liquidity calculations, understanding the requirements to ensure successful integration.
  • Managing the ad hoc, on demand resolution forecast requests and corresponding support of the analysis.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders throughout the life cycle of the plan submission to ensure a compliant and timely plan submission.
  • Facilitate testing of new Firm systems to enable successful onboarding of forecasting capabilities, raise/escalate issues for remediation and timely remediation.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree in finance and economics.
  • 5-8 years' experience in banking or financial services focused around either in resolution plan management, liquidity risk management, capital management at a financial institution, or as an auditor or consultant for banking clients.
  • Thorough technical analysis capabilities and ability to learn new systems (including databases, forecasting tools and liquidity reporting systems)
  • Ability to learn new systems and integrate Firm data
  • Previous experience with Resolution planning for GSIB/FBO firms
  • Knowledge and understanding of RLEN requirements
  • Ability to think strategically, including with regard to proposed rule makings, impacts, implementations, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to work across different parts of the Firm toward the goal of successfully managing the Resolution plan and forecast
  • Strong attention to detail and writing skills
  • A general understanding of Python

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Resolution Planning, Capital Planning, or CCAR stress testing for financial institutions.
  • Experience in Workiva, Tableau or Alteryx

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $110,000 - $190,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
