The Supply Chain & Logistics team within the Zoetis Tech and Digital (ZTD) provides Solutions Delivery to the Global Manufacturing, Supply Chain, & Logistics groups and support global templates depending on the types of sites (e.g. Research and Development, Manufacturing, Distribution Center, or Third-party warehouse). The Supply Chain & Logistics processes enables Zoetis to have the right products in the right place at the right time to make sure our customers can get the high-quality products they need in a timely manner driving brand loyalty and repeat orders to Zoetis. This process is critical to Zoetis for driving profitable revenue growth and for delivering strong financial performance.

The Logistics Product Expert role within ZTD will face a multitude of challenges. The colleague needs to have a very specific and a unique combination of SAP skills and should be able to design and build solutions to ensure solutions are effectively and efficiently managed. This includes supporting Logistics functionality across all sites which may need special handling based on storage, temperature, or hazardous material requirements. Each site will have its own unique process and capability needs and the colleague will require specific knowledge of the SAP Logistics Execution (LE) modules including Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving and thorough understating of EWM functions including Delivery processing, Cartonization, Packing and Shipping. In additional to the maintenance and movement within the different types of sites, the colleague will have to ensure effective and efficient processes for Export and Domestic shipping. The colleague may also be assigned to special projects to use new software applications. Some business initiatives may require working with team members from various professional backgrounds. Colleagues in this role will participate in comprehending project details, writing up manuals, and making budget projections.

Responsibilities:

System Setup

  • Developing, prototyping, testing, and implementing solution improvements to enable end users to meet business objectives in the areas of S/4 HANA LE/EWM
  • Hands-on configuration in areas of SAP Logistics Execution (LE), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), experience in Transportation Management (TM) is a plus.
  • SCT experience is preferred for Small Parcels Delivery processing including Cartonization, Picking via Voice, Packing, Conveyer Integration and Shipment processing.
  • Creating functional (design) specifications for RICEF objects to fulfil regional and global requirements.
  • Conducting Unit tests, Integration tests, and Regression tests
  • Conducting LE/EWM process configuration changes for approved change requests

Leadership and coordination

  • Working with peers in the ITS organization and business representatives to resolve daily issues, design/build/test enhancements, and support or lead projects with logistics and supply impacts.
    • Providing information to IT and Business leadership regarding best practices, industry trends and business opportunities, as well as feedback on the overall performance of processes and tools
    • Ensuring customer expectations have been met through delivery and ongoing execution of services.

System Design/Enhancement

  • Supporting the identification of opportunities to standardize processes and system configuration.
  • Analyzing and solving issues SAP Logistics Execution (LE), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
  • Proactively proposing solutions to improve the support of new and existing business processes.
  • Gathering and analyzing business requests to determine how best to create successful resolution for new requests and issues.
  • Performing thorough analysis to identify all potential impacts for change requests.
  • Identifying and initiating continuous process improvements

Cross-functional activities

  • Collaborating with representatives of other functions to ensure end-to-end process integration and consistency.
    • Supporting the global deployment of ERP within the corporation
    • Working with Business counterparts to ensure audit, SOX, and other compliance requirements.

Production support

  • Providing support for global and regional systems and services
  • Meet SLAs for high priority issues for domestic and export solutions.
    • Training and transferring knowledge to other team members, users, and stakeholders as required.
    • Monitoring process compliance and performance metrics
    • Ongoing Systems & Service Delivery and Process Improvement

Qualifications (Training, Education, & Prior Experience):

Education:

Bachelor's degree in related field is required, advanced degree (e.g. Master's) preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in SAP LE/EWM with multiple full life cycle implementations
  • Logistics Execution (LE) functional experience for domestic and exports shipping, receiving, and warehousing including Small Parcels, Truck loads for Distribution Centers and Manufacturing sites.
  • Hands-on experience in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Inventory Management (IM), Integration experience with cross-functional modules
  • Understanding of 3rd Party Logistics Providers Interfaces for Receiving and Shipping
  • S/4 HANA certification and experience preferred.
  • Experience with WRICEF Functional Design
  • Test execution (Unit, Integration, regression)
  • Production Support for project/enhancements post go-live.
  • Experience in life sciences/pharmaceuticals industry preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability Requirements:

Technical/Functional Competencies in following areas:

Design and configuration expertise in Logistics processes in S/4 HANA LE and EWM modules including:

  • Hands-on Logistics setup including Logistics Org Structure, Plants, Storage locations, Warehouse setup, Material Movements, Master data for EWM, TM, LE, Basic Stock Management, Physical Inventory, Batch Management, Stock Transfer and Replenishment, Inter/Intra Company Procurement
  • Hands-on EWM experience including Shipping, Outbound deliveries, Pick/Pack Automation, Inbound deliveries, Internal warehousing, Wave setup, Advanced EWM functions, Stock Transport Orders
  • EWM Cross Functional experience with SCT, MES, TM, SD, MM, PP, QM, IBP, BTP, 3PL
  • Understanding of TM functions is a plus in areas of Order Management, TransportationPlanning, Freight Orders, Optimizer Planning, Freight Units, Tracking via BN4L
  • Understanding of Logistic Service Provider for Inbound and Outbound Interfaces (IDocs) between Zoetis and the 3PL warehouses for Inbound and Outbound POs, STOs, Subcontracting, Customer Returns, Stock status changes, Inventory Reconciliation, including regional variations

Travel Requirements:

This is Zoetis Parsippany based position. Up to 30% travel may be required based on project needs.
