Field Operations Administrator

SUMMARY:

Mortenson is looking for a Field Operations Administrator who will be responsible for the onboarding, training, and records associated with craft team members. Provides overall training and quality support to the geographic office and project teams. This individual will be based on a Data Center project in Cedar Rapids, IA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead Craft Onboarding



  • Deliver field orientation to craft new hires
  • Ensure that new hire paperwork is completed correctly and timely
  • Accurately maintain applicant log
  • Maintain record of Good Faith Efforts associated with hiring


Assist in management of Craft Training



  • Proactively project and schedule needed classes to maintain 100% complete training log
  • Reserve venues, rooms, equipment, and catering
  • Coordinate enrollment of team members and track any pre-work
  • Prepare, copy, assemble, and distribute materials
  • Set up and clean up event training rooms
  • Maintain records of training events, post to MortU if required


Manage set up and recordkeeping of Field employment



  • Assist with the projection of needed team members
  • Identify and pre-screen potential team members for FOM
  • Assist new team members in navigating Mortenson and identify resources
  • Maintain confidential management files for FOM
  • Resolve payroll issues
  • Order all phones for field leaders and monitor bills
  • Order new IT accounts for Superintendents and Foreman


Assist FOM in Safety and Quality programming



  • Assist with planning and manage logistics for all field, foreman, and superintendent meetings
  • Attend all Safety Leadership Team meetings
  • Send out updates on Quality and Safety program as needed
  • Create presentations for use in programs


Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum of four years' experience in an administrative support role
  • Minimum of two years' experience working in the construction industry or related industry
  • Knowledge of general safety protocol in the construction industry
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent project management, leadership and general business skills
  • Problem solving skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Strong facilitation, speaking, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

The base compensation range for this role is $28.00-$37.00 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
