YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Farm Production Manager opportunity in Hennessey, OK. The Production Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the farms and ensures production targets are met. Supervise and develop farm managers for the sites you are responsible for.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Serve as a link between operations managers and farm managers by handling questions, interpreting and presenting data and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Audit farms on a weekly basis to ensure employees are complying with all standard operating procedures and facilities are being properly maintained.
  • Advise farm managers on meeting production and cost targets as well as completing and submitting production reports in a timely manner.
  • Create and manage employee work schedules and maintain accurate records of personnel paperwork, including performance reviews and feedback provided to employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:



  • Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school preferred; minimum 3+ years swine production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Must communicate effectively with diverse groups of people such as employees and senior management.
  • Ability to use critical thinking and judgement skills to reach the best possible solution to a problem.
  • Demonstrate experience or desire to facilitate, encourage, coach and lead a team to reach set goals.
  • Apply math, analytical, and logistical skills to solve problems.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to collect data and relay information in reports.


Preferred:



  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, not required.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gasses at low concentrations or wet and/or humid conditions.
  • The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate while in the office but can occasionally be loud.
