Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the RSH Hurtado Health Center.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Reports to the Associate Health Center Director.
  • Serves as a registered nurse, licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey, and certified as an advanced practice nurse with prescription privileges.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Master's degree in nursing with APN specialty (primary health care focus).
Certifications/Licenses

  • Registered nurse in New Jersey or eligible and willing to obtain.
  • Must have met all NJ BON requirements for APN certification including national certification in an APN specialty and completion of a 6-hour course in CDS prescribing.
  • Certification in specialty area, at highest level, or eligibility for certification and who has applied to take the first available examination and will practice as an advanced practice nurse "applicant" until successfully completing the examination.

  • CPR or willing to obtain.
  • A valid driver's license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Computer literate.


Preferred Qualifications

  • One year experience in primary health care delivery.


Equipment Utilized

  • Computer.
  • Various software including medical management system.
  • Medical equipment typically used in primary care.
