Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Business Quality Data Analyst!

Your Responsibilities:

Data Quality Management:

  • Monitor, measure, and improve the quality of master data across domains such as customers, suppliers, and products.
  • Perform data profiling and identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and duplicate records.
  • Establish and maintain data quality scorecards, metrics, and dashboards.

Master Data Validation:

  • Ensure master data adheres to defined business rules, data standards, and governance policies.
  • Validate and cleanse data before ingestion into MDM systems.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with business units, data stewards, and IT teams to address data quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with data governance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide data quality standards and policies.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for improving data quality processes and workflows.
  • Design and implement data quality procedures to prevent future issues, ensuring sustainability and scalability.

Issue Resolution:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve master data discrepancies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Track and manage data quality issues through resolution, maintaining detailed records of findings and resolutions.

Data Governance Support:

  • Support MDM initiatives by enforcing data governance frameworks and processes.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a data quality policy and best practices documentation.

Analysis and Reporting:

  • Provide insights and analysis on the impact of data quality issues on business processes and outcomes.
  • Deliver reports and presentations to stakeholders on data quality improvements and trends.

Software Utilization:

  • Leverage Alation software for data cataloging, metadata management, and driving data governance initiatives.
  • Use Alation's capabilities to identify data quality issues, enforce data policies, and support the organization's data literacy goals.
  • Collaborate with data stewards and end users to ensure Alation's integration with MDM workflows is optimized for master data management.

Key Success Indicators:

  • Improvement in data quality scores across key metrics.
  • Effective utilization of Alation software for enhanced data governance and quality management.
  • Timely resolution of master data issues.
  • Positive stakeholder feedback on data quality initiatives and support.

You Must Have:

  • Associate's degree in a related area
  • 2+ years of relatable experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for data management (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
  • Experience working with data in ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics
