What You Will Do:

Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a skilled and driven mid-to-senior level Project Manager with 6-10 years of similar or relevant experience to become an integral part of our Power Delivery business group. In this role, you will be responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling projects to best accomplish the successful completion of all assigned projects, meeting all stakeholder expectations.

Our preference is a hybrid work model based in one of the following locations: Chicago, IL, Charlotte, NC, Marlton, NJ, Roanoke, VA, Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, or St. Louis, MO. We are open to a remote work model for the right candidate.

Responsibilities will include:

Project Initiation and Planning

  • Develop, prepare and present proposals to clients
  • Participate in negotiating contract scopes and fees
  • Prepare contracts and related documents for clients, subconsultants, subcontractors, and vendors which conform with in-house counsel requirements
  • Manage the project set-up process; including preparing the accounting breakdown structure and budget for input into the accounting system.
  • Coordinate preparing file protocols and document control procedures
  • Prepare or coordinate the preparation of the Project Execution Plans (PEP) and other project planning and initiation documentation

Project Execution

  • Lead and participate in project kick-off meetings
  • Develop, coordinate and efficiently manage shared resources to complete the project scope of service
  • Coordinate and manage the efforts of subconsultants, subcontractors and vendors
  • Prepare project status reports (for Clients and/or Upper Management)
  • Maintain (excellent) communication with internal/external stakeholders
  • Prepare or assist in modifying work breakdown structure
  • Coordinate and manage the the adherence to QA process in accordance with the GF Quality Management System
  • Manage the project risk through proper scoping, contract reviews, and clear communication with the Client and internal staff
  • Facilitate multiple tasks with remote staff through effective communication and delegation

Project Control

  • Control project costs through preparing and maintaining cost management reports, Earned Value Analysis (EVA) or other techniques, by reviewing project inquiries and reports available from the company's accounting system
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules throughout the project lifecyle
  • Identify and control changes in scope in accordance with the PEP, requesting and managing change orders when appropriate
  • Review invoices, collection of receivables and project profitability
  • Complete project accrual and forecasting reports
Education | Experience:

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or Management
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant project management experience in the power delivery sector
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to analyze and solve problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and related project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification
