GENERAL SUMMARY: PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 2. *Coordinates the functions of distribution, shipping/receiving, mail, inventory control and forms management for the Bryan Health System. 3. *Assures the standards of operation of the department are in compliance with the standards set by regulatory agencies. 4. *Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, coaching, mentoring, retaining and evaluating of staff. 5. *Conducts progress reviews and performance appraisals for assigned staff. 6. *Establishes, implements and maintains policies and procedures for shipping-receiving, distribution, warehouse and mailroom processes and activities. 7. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. 8. Maintains proper inventory levels for supplies that are maintained in distribution and warehouse. 9. *Oversees the departmental budgetary procedure to ensure proper operational and capital planning; appropriate and efficient use of resources, and consistent compliance to budgetary and fiscal controls. 10. Maintains confidentiality of all record material processed. 11. Routinely accesses locked storage areas (where drugs, IV solutions and contrast media are also stored) to obtain or stock supplies as pertinent to essential job functions in accordance with the Medical Center procedures. 12. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned. 13. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned. (Essential Job functions are marked with an asterisk "*". Knowledge of the principles and applications of inventory control. 3. Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws governing materials distribution in a health system environment. 4. Knowledge of organizational and human resource management standards and practices. 5. Knowledge of performance improvement, budgetary and financial methods and practices. 6. Knowledge of management and leadership principles and practices. 7. Skill in conflict diffusion and resolution. 8. Ability to perform crucial conversations with desired outcomes. 9. Ability to make operational and management decisions in response to changing conditions. 10. Ability to plan, assign, direct, train and evaluate the work of others. 11. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 12. Ability to develop written policies and procedures, memoranda and performance evaluations with measurable objectives. 13. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff. 14. Ability to problem solve and engage independent critical thinking skills. 15. Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive information. 16. Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision. 17.
