SSC) to join the Office of the Registrar. Operating under the guidance of the Assistant Registrar, the
SSC will play a integral role within the processing team of the Office of the Registrar. As a member of the Office of the Registrar, this position will also be a member of the Division of Enrollment Services & Experience Team. The
SSC will support various administrative functions within the Office of the Registrar and support a number of special academic programs and populations.

Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Support Services Coordinator. Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, this position provides day-to-day support to the Office of the Registrar Staff as well as all constituents of the Newark Campus: Faculty, Staff, Deans, Students, Alumni and third parties. This position is a critical member of the Registrar Team, and participant of the Enrollment Services & Experience Team- Office of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services & Experience; Office of Admissions; Office of Financial Aid; Academic Foundation Center and the One Stop Center.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
- Assists with all administrative/registration/record processing and communications via various mediums
- Meets regularly with the Registrar's leadership team to assist in the strategic planning for projects, policy, and procedures
- Ensures accurate data entry and auditing as outlined in the office's daily operations calendar, adhering to state cut-off, term grade audits, demographic record clean-up, record retention and document purge scheduling
- Provides critical support in evaluating project statuses, defining proposed outcomes, and collecting staff feedback to present innovative and efficient workflow processes that align with University and Department's policies and procedures with team members
- Proactively collects team and constituent feedback and prepares appropriate recommendations to contribute to enhancing operations calendar critical to registration, record auditing and retention, orientation, events, certification, and production dates and deadlines to ensure year-round efficiency in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with competing demands

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience working at a Registrar's Office in a higher education setting.

- Excellent customer service, effective communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Must have proficient computer skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as a constructive, collaborative member of the EM team.
