About the Role: The Manager, Franchise Sales, supports Subway growth plans by driving the strategy, process, tools and teams required to effectively identify, recruit, evaluate and select new franchise candidates. Helps to drive new unit growth and facilitate franchise transactions through the vetting and approval of new franchisees. Partners in the creation and recommendation of well-developed programs required to attract new franchise talent and accelerate brand growth. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple responsibilities, including sales outreach, pipeline management, lead conversion, and sales reporting while maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Franchise Sales



  • Responsible for leading US Traditional Franchise Sales activities through the sourcing, vetting and placement of potential leads from initial contact through deal close. Conducts outreach to identify and recruit Multi-Unit Owner (MUO) Candidates for the acquisition of existing restaurants and/or the development of new restaurants. Coordinates and executes new franchise recruiting interviews, meetings, and events. Conducts analysis of new leads, and interprets financial models, profitability, and impact on the organization's strategic business plans. Makes recommendations on deals that best support the organization's goals.



Pipeline Management & Reporting



  • Manage the CRM, franchise sales pipeline, and other critical reports. Lead in the preparation and distribution of sales activity updates and reports, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate information flow and project management support.



Legal



  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements, including Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) distribution, franchise agreement renewals, and fee collections. Support the legal and development teams with franchise sales-related compliance and documentation.



Development



  • Serve as the primary point of contact between franchise candidates and various internal departments (operations, legal, administration, market planning). Actively engage with external franchise prospects to ensure a smooth recruitment and onboarding process.



Tradeshows



  • Attend franchise-related tradeshows and events, including coordinating key meetings and events. Research new industry events for lead generation opportunities and lead tradeshow follow-up activities.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field required.
  • 5+ years' experience in corporate development within the QSR industry required.
  • Prior supervisory experience would be a plus.
  • Experience in initiating, identifying, negotiating, closing, and planning the integration of new leads and acquisitions.
  • Experience interfacing with external partners and coordinating their activities as part of an integrated project plan to complete M&A activity throughout the entire lifecycle.
  • Experience with an understanding of franchising and the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Works collaboratively on a team.
  • Strong sales pipeline management skills, inclusive of continuous follow-up on all external leads.
  • Proven track record and history of successfully originating and closing new leads and acquisitions.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work under minimal supervision and direction.
  • Travel as required up to 25% of the time.

Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, qualifications, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
