Overview

Appointment Type: Temporary (Temp)

Location: Oak Ridge, TN (Hybrid)

The selected candidate will be expected to work from the Oak Ridge, TN office a minimum of one day per week.

*Salary Range: $17.82 - $23.83 per hour

PURPOSE: The Peer Review Intern will be provided the opportunity to learn multiple aspects of peer review and scientific meeting coordination. This will include learning about and supporting technology services, operations, reviewer research, reviewer identification and recruitment, and various administrative items in support of peer reviews.



Responsibilities

    Operations and Technology Services and Support:
    • Mentors with team members to learn and provide virtual and onsite meeting support, assists with development and maintenance of websites, and assists with various SharePoint items such as project management plan set ups and archiving.
    • Assists with researching reviewer information, quality checks of various tasks supported by the team, and prepares meeting supplies for various activities.
  • Research Services:
    • Mentors with team members to learn and support reviewer identification, reviewer recruitment, tracking information for various projects, and provides research assistance to various projects.
  • Peer Review Project Team:
    • Works with mentor and team members to learn and support with PeerNet set up and monitors the system for reviewer progress, ensures tasks follow established quality assurance processes and procedures, provides quality checks of tasks performed by other team members, enters and updates information in the Project Management Administrative Tracking System (PMATS), assists with travel support to reviewers, and assists with honoraria tracking.


Qualifications

High school diploma and 2-4 years of job-related experience or bachelor's degree and 0-2 years required. Pursuing a graduate level degree in a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience requiring similar knowledge, skills, abilities, and performing duties as described may be substituted for the minimum requirements.

  • Above average English, grammar, composition, and proofing skills are essential

*The candidate's starting salary will be determined upon hire and ORAU will use salary survey data, internal comparators, and the candidate's qualifications to determine salary.
