Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in social science, program evaluation or a closely-related field (psychology, social work, human development, public health, education, etc.) from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Data visualization skills in preparing infographics, graphs, and charts to communicate evaluation or research findings in visually appealing reports is preferred.
  • Experience working with variety of clients, data sources, and datasets is preferred.
  • Interviewing skills and experience preferred.

Position Summary
This individual will design and implement program evaluations, needs assessments, clearinghouses, data dashboards and qualitative or quantitative research including developing evaluation plans for process and outcomes evaluations, logic models and outcomes tracking matrices. This individual will supervise and manage other researchers and students on the team and work collaboratively with their supervisors. They will collaborate with various other entities across the State to collect input, design, implement, and manage projects. The person in this position will work collaboratively with a variety of clients, data sources, and datasets.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Demonstrated training and/or professional development and/or experience in designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research and/or in conducting evaluation and needs assessments including developing evaluation plans, logic models and outcomes tracking matrices.
  • Substantial team-based experience in which research or evaluation project design, completion goals, deliverables, and timelines were collaboratively determined with other entities.
  • Knowledge or experience in using programs such as Microsoft word, excel, access, Qualtrics, SPSS, NVivo, or similar applications.
  • Strong data skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills including managing timelines.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Skill in planning and executing data analysis and summarizing results.

  • Implements program evaluations, needs assessments, and qualitative and/or quantitative research for multiple projects.
  • Assists with the development of clearinghouses and dashboards.
  • Develops data collection measures (surveys, focus group protocols) and analyzes data using qualitative or quantitative research analysis methods including working with large databases, data cleaning and organizing.
  • Works collaboratively with a variety of clients, and with multiple data sources and datasets.

  • Collaborates with various other entities across the State to collect input, design, implement, and manage projects.
  • Arranges for and conducts interviews, focus groups and surveys related to data collection. This may involve statewide travel for site visits and technical support.
