Job Title: Major Incident Manager (Hybrid)

Location: Hartford, CT

We are looking for a major incident manager who can be able to handle sev1, sev2 incidents and provide 24/7 support.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all requests are recorded and processed.
  • Coordinate and guide in operation and use of ITS Service Management System for tracking and reporting on requests and reported incidents.
  • Day to day tactical operational decision making for support operations.
  • Coordinate customer blocking issues and/or team support blocking issues.
  • Executive support, with the support and guidance of the IT Manager, Director, and CIO.
  • Team performance metrics management and reporting.
  • Provides coordination and leadership to Support Engineers and Service Analysts.
  • Assistance with IT Major Incident Management, outside business hours as needed.
  • Regularly review support tickets to identify positive and negative trends in support and implement corrective actions if needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in Major incident management and handling major incident calls sev1, sev2' are required.
  • Should have incident management and problem management skills.
Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until January 19, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $99,000 - $116,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
