Overview

Waters Corporation is always looking to hire the best and brightest future talent of our company. The Segment Marketing team is looking to hire a summer intern located in our New Castle, DE office. This internship is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience while earning course credits for the world's leading specialty measurement company. This internship will last approximately ten weeks & begin when the student completes their spring semester.

Based on individual learning objectives and needs of the business, you will gain experience and exposure to the following:
* Strategic marketing
* Competitive intelligence
* Market sizing and segmentation
* Product strategy
* Marketing communications
* Industry relations
* Business Processes

In addition to these skills, you will also have exposure to senior level management across the business. The combination of skills mentorship and management access will truly allow you to take advantage of what Waters-TA Instruments has to offer and enable you to begin developing as a broad global business leader.


Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to

    Develop a strong understanding of the company's products, capabilities, operations, and financial performance
  • Research and analyze industries, companies, technology segments, and business models to develop a competitive landscape assessment
  • Develop a segmented view of a specific industry sector based on emerging trends and market drivers, combined with historical data
  • Conduct strategic fit and business opportunity analysis to determine profitability in various scenarios
  • Assist in the development and implementation of company-wide strategic initiatives
  • Prepare presentations that provide a logically reasoned and data-supported approach for senior executive teams


The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following

* 1st year MBA with an expected graduation date in 2026

* Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities

* Experience adapting to a dynamic and changing environment

* Self-driven and eager to learn

* Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and convert to insightful conclusions

* Good communication and presentation skills

  • Rising senior or incoming graduate student pursuing chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work safely
