POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating the CSV system for responding to violence in the workplace and amongst our patient population. This includes developing strategies and approach for addressing for responding to identified survivors of violence, including patients or hospital associates for: Domestic Violence, Child or Elder Abuse or Neglect, or Human Trafficking. This position is responsible for serving as the liaison to community level efforts directed toward improving response to violence in the community.



Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Master's in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Business, Public Health, Human Services or other related field.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Must have a valid New Mexico driver's license. BLS issued through American Heart Association required. Independent license preferred.

SKILLS:



  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and promote a team approach to client care
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and ability to enter, track and report on program and service data
  • Ability to work independently and to be self-motivated to meet with and assist CSV Community Health Service providers in resolving complex care issues
  • Relationship building with community members and providers to create and strengthen continuum of care
  • Ability to lead and build cross-department internal and external teams
  • Ability to facilitate small and large groups
  • Understanding of Results Based Accountability, Wraparound, Person Centered, and Strengths-based Service Models
  • Training and presentation skills
  • Excellent Written, Verbal, and Electronic Communication Skills
  • Cultural humility and understanding of intersectional factors of power and oppression
  • Experience providing training to medium and large groups
  • Expertise in Trauma Informed Care
  • Understanding of the needs of survivors of violence and abuse including, but not limited to: Domestic Violence, Child Abuse and Neglect, Elder Abuse and Neglect, and Human Trafficking with working knowledge of the community resources available for each


EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience in Health and Human Services, preferably in hospitals or other medical settings, to include working with vulnerable and special populations addressing their health care needs and the social determinants of health. Experience providing training and support to teams or program development preferred.

Multiple simultaneous activities around patient care. Exposure to infectious diseases and intermittent exposure possible to blood, excrements, odors and noise. Work area has normal heat, light, and air.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Working hours vary, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies. Must be able to handle emergency/crisis situations, prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking. Requires the ability to speak, listen, develop and communicate written materials.
