POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating the CSV system for responding to violence in the workplace and amongst our patient population. This includes developing strategies and approach for addressing for responding to identified survivors of violence, including patients or hospital associates for: Domestic Violence, Child or Elder Abuse or Neglect, or Human Trafficking. This position is responsible for serving as the liaison to community level efforts directed toward improving response to violence in the community. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Master's in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Business, Public Health, Human Services or other related field. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Must have a valid New Mexico driver's license. BLS issued through American Heart Association required. Independent license preferred. SKILLS:
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience in Health and Human Services, preferably in hospitals or other medical settings, to include working with vulnerable and special populations addressing their health care needs and the social determinants of health. Experience providing training and support to teams or program development preferred. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Manager of Community Health ENVIRONMENT: -Bloodborne pathogen: B Multiple simultaneous activities around patient care. Exposure to infectious diseases and intermittent exposure possible to blood, excrements, odors and noise. Work area has normal heat, light, and air. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Working hours vary, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies. Must be able to handle emergency/crisis situations, prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking. Requires the ability to speak, listen, develop and communicate written materials. |
