Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Payroll Management: Oversee payroll functions, including processing bi-weekly paychecks and direct deposits, maintaining employee records, calculating withholdings, and ensuring timely submission to relevant agencies.
  • Tax Filings: Prepare quarterly and year-end payroll tax filings, as well as annual W-2 and 1099 forms.
  • Accounts Receivable: Handle invoicing, process payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Fixed Assets Management: Administer the Fixed Assets program, including approving capital projects, overseeing capitalization, and conducting physical inventory checks.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger through journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • External Audit Support: Provide necessary information and documentation for external auditors during annual reviews.
  • Treasury Management: Manage treasury functions, including processing customer and vendor payments, and reconciling bank accounts with the general ledger.
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of financial documents and their supporting materials.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend enhancements to department processes and internal controls.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis as needed.
  • Forecasting Assistance: Support monthly forecasting processes.
  • Project Support: Assist with special projects as required.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to GMP, FDA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards in alignment with company policies.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow company safety protocols.
  • Attendance: Maintain regular attendance.
  • Other Responsibilities: Perform additional duties as assigned.

About You

Essentials:

  • Experience: 3-5 year of accounting experience
  • Education: Associates in Accounting or similar field of study preferred
  • Schedule: Must be able to work over 40 hours per week if necessary. Individual will be assisting employees who may either be on a continuous or conventional schedule and must, therefore, be able to effectively interface with those employees on various days/hours during the week.

Nice to Have:

  • 3 to 5 years of manufacturing accounting experience
  • Experience using Workday, JD Edwards Enterprise, and On Base software preferred

Salary Range: $53,000 - $60,000

(non-exempt)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequently required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Occasionally required to bend at waist.
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision ability including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
