Commercial Maintenance Technician

Pay rate | $25 - $30 per hour

Schedule | Monday - Friday (some weekend and night availability is required)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent with preferred certification/degree in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing), or Specialty Floor Care, and 2-5 years of mechanical experience (electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Strong background in building trades, landscaping, janitorial, or construction services, with applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver's license in good standing.
• Proficient in reading and comprehending safety policies, procedure manuals, and work instructions, with the ability to write reports and effectively present information.
• Skilled in building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, with experience in preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA standards).
• Capable of using handheld devices, document management software, and business systems (e.g., Microsoft Office) to manage work orders, with flexibility for daily local travel between properties.

Essential tasks:

The role involves completing preventative maintenance and repairs according to work orders while adhering to company procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include minor plumbing, painting, carpentry, and electrical maintenance, as well as service and asset inspections. The position requires proficient use of technology (e.g., tablets and smartphones) to manage work orders, submit reports, and log expenses. Additional duties include sourcing materials, fostering positive client relationships, providing project estimates, attending safety training, and performing other assigned tasks to ensure customer satisfaction and facility upkeep.
