Sr. Azure Data Engineer (hybrid)

• Lead the design and implementation of data processing solutions using PySpark Azure Databricks and Python.
• Oversee the development and optimization of data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and processing.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members on best practices and advanced techniques.
• Collaborate with data engineers data scientists and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure the scalability and reliability of data processing systems to meet business needs.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data processing and analytics.
• Monitor and maintain the performance of data processing systems implementing improvements as needed.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data processing workflows and systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in the planning and execution of data-related projects ensuring timely delivery and high quality.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback on project progress.
• Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality data solutions that drive business value.

• Possess strong expertise in PySpark Azure Databricks and Python with 8 to 12 years of experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in designing and implementing data processing solutions.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Show strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Have a deep understanding of data pipeline optimization and performance tuning.
• Display a commitment to staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Bring a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements in data processing workflows.

The annual salary for this position is between $[100,000 - 120,000 USD] depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
