Role Description:

The Data Analysis Intern will work with various software applications including Maximo, Acquaa, and Third-Party Portals to support data analysis, testing new software modules, and ensuring quality control (QA/QC) for inspection work orders. The intern will also assist in presenting findings and providing actionable insights based on data analysis.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

As a summer Intern, we will provide you with:



  • A real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connections with recent college graduates and our company leaders
  • Performance of assignments under the direct supervision of a department lead
  • Performance of other work-related duties as needed



Your essential functions include, but are not limited to:



  • Learn how new software applications are tested and implemented.
  • Assist in the QA/QC process for data from Maximo work orders and other related software.
  • Conduct data analysis, identifying inconsistencies and proposing solutions for improvement.
  • Present findings and recommended improvements to the team.
  • Test new modules in the Acquaa Portal, including registration, online payments, and equipment issuance/return processes.
  • Review inspection work orders for data inconsistencies and help implement rules to address these issues.

Skills & Qualifications:

Required Skills & Qualifications



Required Experience:
Completion of one to two years of college education in Business Management, Information Systems, STEM fields, or a related discipline.
Experience in data analysis and working with software tools for data management.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program
Must have at least 30 credit hours complete
Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average
Required Skills:
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Basic data analysis skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
Strong communication skills to present data and findings clearly.

Physical Requirements:
Fieldwork involving outdoor water sampling and laboratory work with analytical equipment.


Preferred Skills & Qualifications



Preferred Experience:
Practical experience with QA/QC processes or testing software applications.
Experience using Maximo or similar asset management software.
Preferred Education Requirements:
Preferred Major: Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or other STEM fields
Preferred Skills:
Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI, SQL, or advanced Excel functions.
Familiarity with software testing and quality assurance procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to report findings.
