POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Meeting Production Specialist with expertise in commercial audiovisual systems and virtual webinar coordination. This position is versatile, requiring the ability to excel under limited supervision and adapt to hybrid meeting environments. The role involves both virtual tasks and occasional onsite presence in College Park, MD / Silver Spring, MD. The ideal candidate will possess advanced troubleshooting skills, provide concierge-level customer service, and demonstrate strong project management and leadership capabilities.

Location: Silver Spring, MD (Onsite)

Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required to meet this requirement.

Position Type: Full-Time W-2

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership

    • Lead projects and small teams (1-3 technicians) to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • AV Systems Expertise

    • Operate and troubleshoot conference room AV systems and virtual collaboration platforms.
    • Address challenges associated with hybrid meeting environments.
  • Customer Service

    • Provide concierge-level customer service by offering unique, practical, and adaptive solutions to client needs.
  • Virtual Meetings

    • Coordinate and manage government-based virtual webinars, demonstrating advanced troubleshooting skills and professionalism in high-paced environments.
  • Technical Proficiency

    • Troubleshoot AV racks, teleconference-VTC codecs, Crestron/AMX, and touch panel systems.
    • Ensure seamless operation of physical in-room conference systems.
  • Project Management

    • Create, coordinate, and maintain deadlines from pre-meeting planning to post-production responsibilities.
  • Self-Initiative

    • Proactively take on tasks without supervision and support areas requiring additional attention.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Technical Skills

    • Strong understanding of AV conference room system operation and signal flow.
    • Experience performing lead functions as an AV technician.
    • Familiarity with government environments (preferred).
    • Ability to troubleshoot AV systems, including Crestron/AMX touch panels and teleconference codecs.
  • Certifications

    • Audio Visual Technician (AVT) certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
    • Certified Technical Specialist (CTS) certification is a plus.
  • Clearance

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Work primarily in an office setting, either on-site or remotely, requiring extended periods of sitting or standing.

    • Proficiency in using computers and participating in video conferences, phone calls, and in-person meetings.
  • Mobility

    • Ability to work within an office environment, attend meetings, and collaborate with team members.
  • Manual Dexterity

    • Operation of standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, and other devices.
  • Travel

    • Occasional travel to client sites or company locations may be required, necessitating reliable transportation.
  • Stress Management

    • Effectively manage multiple projects, teams, and client expectations in demanding situations.
