The Senior Quality Engineer (QE) / customer facing Program Quality Engineer (PQE) will be responsible for maintaining site Quality Key Performance Indicator (KPI's) metric adherence through use of continuous improvement and process improvement methodologies. Candidates shall have a comprehensive knowledge of Quality Engineering, or Process Engineering, or Industrial Engineering skills with a basic knowledge of project management. This leader shall be comfortable managing project initiatives of importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Work is guided by individual annual goals and objectives with minimal oversight or direction to deliver mission success and excellence throughout the integrated product lifecycle resulting in defect-free work products and delighted customers. CUSTOMER FOCUS: * Uses metrics to identify signals and initiate tactical course corrections by managing key performance indicator (KPI) areas to meet established goals. * Coordinates with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Production to resolve customer returns (RMA's) and other general customer concerns. * Communicates within and outside of their own function and business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., DCMA, prime customers, key vendors, etc.) when necessary. * Expert RCCA practitioner of problem-solving methodologies and 8D, PDCA, A3 reporting vehicles. QMS: * Ensures the company's QMS conforms to our customer, ISO9001, and regulatory requirements. * Expert with Material Review Board (MRB) or Failure Review Board (FRB) activities, overseeing issue closure and cross-site implementation of systemic preventive corrective actions. * Drives continuous improvement initiatives such as 6S, Safety and Kaizen activities. * Can create First Article Inspection (FAI) reports per AS9102 and First Article Acceptance Plans and methods. * Skill with compiling and reporting weekly in-line, final, and scrap metrics, then establishing a cadence for trend analysis, to ultimately drive corrective action and preventative actions thus reducing recurrence. * Internal Corrective Action Reporting (ICAR) manager. * Skills with Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) relating to both Processes (PFMEA) and Design (DFMEA). * Supports New Product Introduction (NPI) team by assisting with the identification and evaluation of suppliers. ENGINEERING: * Establishes robust quality evaluation and control systems in a Printed Wiring Board (PWB, PCB) manufacturing environment. Comfort with following Engineering Change Notices (ECN / ECO) and evaluating their effectivity with the engineering organization. * Provides engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques. * Resolving quality issues of capability, tolerancing, and materials. * Resolving quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources. * Effectively communicates and reinforces R&D Altanova's commitment to quality improvement efforts. * Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees related to all quality processes. * Strong performance history with generating professional presentations, technical reports and in-depth case studies using the Microsoft suite, (excel, pivots).
