Overview

Supervises team of 3 throughout the month-end close cycle. Assists in consolidation of financial statements and SEC schedules. Supports management with monthly and Quarter-end reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

    Responsible for providing accurate financial data and supported recommendations
  • Prepare and/or review ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Preparation and review of monthly financial statements for 7 entities including 6 International
  • Internal and External Audit coordination
  • Assist in Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Analyze monthly reporting and variance analysis
  • Coordinate and execute the month, quarter and year-end financial closing cycles
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end Tax Information Package and 10-K financial supplemental schedules
  • Semi-annual SoX documentation updates
  • Work in a team environment and actively communicate with peers and superiors
  • Hiring, training and supervising Accounting and Order Processing staff
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies

Duties: Ensure accuracy and completeness of the following through direct supervision:

  • General Ledger
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Fixed Assets
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Reconciles intercompany transactions
  • Sales, Use and Property Taxes
  • Travel and Expense transactions
  • Tax schedule preparation


Qualifications

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 10+ years directly applicable experience, including management experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple month-end deadlines
  • Strong communication, planning, organizational and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels within the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Sound knowledge of internal controls and Sarbanes Oxley requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, MAS500, Deltek/Vision and/or Adaptive Insights is a plus

Certifications/Licenses: CPA preferred

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $95,000- $105,000 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via the NV5 careers site.
